Visually, the shaft displays a distinctive red and black color scheme. Importantly, this is not a model that offers Velocore shaft options.
Two primary flexes are available for the Ventus RED 6 FW Shaft - the 6-S, which has a stiff flex, and the 6-X, which is categorized as an extra stiff flex. As the name suggests, this shaft is designed for fairway wood applications. However, when outfitted with the appropriate adapter and grip, it can also function effectively as a standard length driver shaft.
Compared to the standard Ventus Red shaft, the FW variant is engineered to deliver a slightly firmer and more stable performance. Regarding compatibility, the Ventus RED 6 FW Shaft can be purchased uncut or pre-installed with adapters for a variety of popular driver models:
- Taylormade: Compatible with Stealth, Stealth Plus 1 and 2, Sim 2, Sim, M1 to M6, and more
- Callaway: Fits Paradym, AI, Flash, and any fairway wood model utilizing the new Optifit 3 adapter
- Cobra: Suitable for Aerojet, Radspeed, Speedzone, F9, and additional models
- Ping: Works with G430, G425, and G410 driver heads
- Titleist: Fits all TSr, TS, and TSi models, as well as 913 through 917
- Mizuno: Compatible with ST 230, 220, 200, 190, 180, ST-Z, ST-X, JPX 900, and JPX 850
When purchased with a pre-installed adapter, the Ventus RED 6 FW Shaft will be built to the standard length for the corresponding driver model. However, custom length options are available upon request. Customers are advised to include length specifications in the order notes when placing a custom order.
