At the heart of the 0211 XCOR2 Irons is PXG's revolutionary XCOR2 polymer core material. This extremely lightweight core enables more weight to be positioned low and towards the perimeter of the clubhead, dramatically increasing the moment of inertia (MOI) and forgiveness. Combined with PXG's ultra-thin face technology, XCOR2 enhances the coefficient of restitution (C.O.R.) for extreme face deflection and exceptional ball speed.
Power Channel Technology is another key innovation, featuring a proprietary U-shaped corridor built into the internal face surface. This channel increases face deflection and energy transfer, resulting in higher launch angles, improved trajectories, and faster ball speeds.
The angled top rail of the clubhead shifts mass away from the heel and towards the toe, positioning the center of gravity (CG) close to the center of the face. This promotes higher MOI, greater forgiveness, and excellent consistency.
The clubface is made from an HT 1770 maraging stainless steel using a cold roll manufacturing process and aged heat treatment. This advanced material and process enables PXG to deliver the thinnest clubface in golf, measuring just 0.058" (~1.55mm) thick.
The 0211 XCOR2 Irons also feature a precision robotic polishing and laser welding process. Robotic polishing ensures consistent sole and face perimeter geometry, while laser welding the face reduces the heat-affected zone for high strength and precise attachment.
The progressive set design incorporates varied offset, blade length, and bounce across the irons. Longer blades feature more offset for greater forgiveness, while wider soles on the longer irons promote higher launch. The shorter irons have less offset and bounce for enhanced control and workability.
The 0211 XCOR2 Irons are available in a wide range of loft options, from a 19-degree 4-iron to a 60-degree lob wedge. Standard lengths and lie angles are also provided to ensure a custom fit for both men and women.
